FTI is the UK Market leader in safety critical networks for Aviation Control Tower infrastructure supporting airfield Comms, Navigational Aids and Surveillance systems (since 1984).

The Company's expertise is predominately in the design of high reliability, resilient networks and Turn-Key Solutions.

FTI designs and manufactures its own equipment where 'fit for purpose' products are not currently available.

Each stage of a project is specified, along with the choice of reliable components, to provide a guaranteed project and excellent life expectancy. The historical evidence continues to demonstrate real life extended performance and attractive life time ownership cost.

Particular attention is given to minimising the impact of Solar Radiation in the design of FTI's Products. The latest nanometre substrates and lower operating voltages, used in high density silicon, make the integrated circuits far more vulnerable to Cosmic Rays (95% of which are Neutrons, at ground level). FTI's choice of electronic components is to mitigate, as far as possible, the potentially catastrophic effects of the Cosmic Radiation. We are now in Solar Cycle 25 which began in 2019 and is predicted to peak, between 2024 & 2026.

FTI provides: Consultancy, Design, Integration, Installation, Commissioning, Maintenance, Training of Communication Equipment, Networks & Systems and the responsibility for the system integration, of the end equipment with the Network communication interfaces.
